Bhumibol Adulyadej, better known as King Rama IX of Thailand, turned 81 this weekend. When it comes down to it, he’s more or less the guy who is the sequel to the well known “The King and I” - taking over when Yul Brunner’s real-life counterpart departed this globe. I decided on a seafood and vegetable dish dinner - I’d had several requests from visiting pescetarians and hey, I like seafood and vegetables too.

Comments from some of the guests:

"It was a wonderful evening. My friends were still talking about it days later. We all thought the wine pairing was superb. The portions were a good size too. We left feeling full, but not stuffed. There was nothing but good things to say about the meal and the experience." -  W.J.

"We had a great time at your home and met many great people. We really like the tofu and the spicy calamari and the wine selections. The fish was a little salty for our taste (although I know that was how the dish was supposed to be prepared). Again, we really enjoyed ourselves." - T.C.

"Sorry for not replying earlier and let you know how much I enjoyed my dinner at Casa SaltShaker. I don't have any comment about the food, service, wines, reservation process. Everything is smooth. My only suggestion is that you publish a newsletter for your clients (or maybe for everyone) complementing the blog and letting us know about the menu for the upcoming week or month dependig on how often you would sent it out. You have our mails and you can either send it from your email clients or use email marketing providers. I sure would love the ease to receive your menu in my inbox so I could say "hay! that sounds interesting, I'll make a reservation". Just making it easier for the client to keep coming back. I'll be back one of these days, do let me know if there is again a more pescetarian menu." -  C.J.

"thank you for the dinner. i would love to offer some feedback, but it's nearly seamless what you're doing there. we would have enjoyed and perhaps expected to have you and henry part of the meal, but you're working! so voila, that's the way it goes. perhaps it's something to introduce into toronto or paris or pondicherry!" - E.&A.S.
