Comments from some of the guests:

"Thank you both for the experience. I really enjoyed the food and the wine. Although we ate lots it wasn´t presented as big mounds of food and I liked that. I liked the idea of ´presenting´each of the courses too. It was pretty much what it said on the packet, which is good, except that I didn't expect there to be so many people from the States. I thought it would be more mixed. This is probably because I go to Cuba a lot and, of course, that is nobody from the States there at all!! I suppose that on other occasions it will be more mixed depending on who's in town. Thanks again for a lovely evening." - M.M.

"Thanks for the wonderful experience last night!" - K.G.

"Thanks, again for another fine evening at casa saltshaker. We had such a chatty group at out table that I didn't get to talk much with you. The sole was wonderful and I've been avoiding seafood, just because I wasn't sure what to order. When I ordered a salmon dish, once, it was basically lox --not what I was expecting. I'm off to Colonia for a few days, and then, I'll be back for another dinner. Honestly, I'm kind of one of those "when I like a place, I keep coming back" kinda of restaurant goer. And, as I told you, there's something wonderful about sitting around a lovely table in a home. It's just the familiarity of it all...especially when one is a stranger in a strange land!" - D.B.

"Thanks for a great dinner on Friday. Really enjoyed the experience and, of course, the food." - J.L.

"We enjoyed our evening and have been enjoying dining out in BA - have had some great meals - Annetta being a stand out as well as Manolo (not high end but very good). We wouldn't change a thing at your place except to go on a night other than our first night in town. We thought we would be well rested, but we both got really tired really quickly and realized we should probably have saved your dining experience for another more well rested night." - S.B.

"I thought it was absolutely lovely! I enjoyed the people I met and thought it was great. I don’t think we had any salad, but I would have definitely like to try a yummy salad incorporated within a course. Other than that is was amazing! Thank you for the lovely time!" - C.D.

"Our dinner at Casa Saltshaker was one of the best we enjoyed in BsAs. We were expecting a 5 course "tasting" and what we got was a full 5 course Brazilian themed meal, each course well prepared and presented, and each paired with an appropriate and tasty wine. It was nice that the diners included people from Finland, Denmark, New Zealand, Canada, Scotland, Argentina, and of course, the US, and we enjoyed some interesting and varied dinner conversation. An unexpected bonus was your recommendation of Don Julio, where we later had the best regular restaurant meal of our trip. We thought it was a bargain for $80 US, and would highly recommend it." - N.V.
