Comment from some of the guests:

"Our coworkers who recommended you were on the mark. Our evening was everything we had hoped for and more. We even met up with one of the couples on the ferry returning from Colonia, quite by accident. I will do my best to remember to post a review when we return from Antarctica as well as spread the word among colleagues at CDC who are generally a well traveled bunch." - B.T.

"P... & I thoroughly enjoyed our evening in your lovely home. It was everything I had hoped and more. Your food creations were so inspiring and original! The wine pairings were bang on. Your introductions to the dishes & wine, so interesting. I particularly enjoyed the final Zuccardi Malamado Tinto and hope to bring a couple of bottles home with me. I am glad you enjoy the little goodies I brought. The maple syrup is from a farm very close to our home. Usually one finds the "extra clear" grade of syrup in stores, but we much prefer this darker "ambre" grade. It is made from syrup later in the season and has a much more pronounced flavor. I like to use it to sweeten lemonade or in a vinaigrette with an arugula, dried cranberry and candied nut salad, but of course the possibilities are endless! We were pleasantly surprised with the interesting mix of guests. One never knows what to expect! Our evening in your home will be among the highlights of our vacation. I will be pleased to write a glowing review on Tripadvisor when we get home. All the best for continued success in your business." - C.L.

"I enjoyed the dinner a lot, all the meals were delicious and it was wonderful meeting. Yes, sure I will share my great experience at your place in trip advisor and I will certainly come back and recommend your place to my clients and friends." - D.B.

"Was great, little bit too hot inside, the pork was a home run." - F.B.

"It was great. Such a good mix of people. We loved the food. We will give comments on trip advisor." - D.C.

"I've lived in BA for years and have always heard how great Casa Salt Shaker is. For whatever reason we'd waited too long before trying it out. Creative combinations of flavor that words cannot describe. Great wine pairings. Dan and Henri do a great job. They are welcoming and down to earth, without being phony. Buena onda. We'll be coming back for sure." - S.R. via TripAdvisor

"I am impressed with the level of service provided by Dan at Casa SaltShaker. Knowing that I have a shellfish allergy/aversion to seafood - he contacted me to alert me to when it would be safe to visit. I'm glad that he did. The food was rather good - nice to have a spicy option in Buenos Aires. There were definitely dishes I liked more than others - but the overall quality was good. There was a good mix of 10 on the night I dined - the chemistry worked well. Dan & Harvey weren't too engaging - but that wasn't an issue - most chefs do not come out and chat incessantly with guests. I would return. Especially for the soup and heart of palm fritter - exceptional dishes!" - R.W. via TripAdvisor - also posted on her blog about the dinner in more detail.

"I went to Casa SaltShaker with a friend, and we both love food. It is a wonderfull evening with not just delicious food!. Really some very interesting combinations, paired beautifuly with Argentinian wines. We also had so much fun with our table mates as well, people from all walks of life suddenly sitting and conversing. I loved it, thank you so much!" - T.D. via TripAdvisor

"My husband and I wanted to try something other than Argentinian cuisine while in Buenos Aires. We came across Casa Saltshaker and I'm glad we did. We are always up for something new and interesting, both in atmosphere and in cuisine. We were not disappointed with either. The party of guests was a great mix. Some locals, expats, Dutch and Americans. The conversation was never boring and quickly moved from small talk to lively discussions and a lot of laughs. The food was very delicious and creative and the wine pairings were excellent. We all were anticipating each course and I didn't hear anybody say anything negative about the dishes. Tasting so many different courses is also a real treat. Dan and Henry were very welcoming and attentive and definitely made us feel at home. We had such a great time that when it came time to go, we joined another local couple we had just met that evening and enjoyed the rest of the night at a beautiful bar together that we never would have found on our own. I would recommend Casa Saltshaker if you are up for a new experience and are craving something besides beef in Buenos Aires." - S.C. from TripAdvisor
